Dreamwork
At Lam Counseling Service, we use dreamwork to support the healing process, as dreams can have important messages, illuminating present issues and guiding future path.
We approach dreamwork from a Gestalt perspective. The focus isn’t on “interpreting” your dream to uncover symbolic or hidden meanings, but on experiencing it and understanding how it relates to your current life. This process can help you become more aware of yourself and make sense of your feelings and experiences.
How It Works
Gestalt dreamwork treats every part of the dream as a reflection of you—your thoughts, feelings, or experiences. In a dreamwork session, you might "step into" different parts of your dream, like a person, an object, or even an emotion.
For example, if you dream about being chased, you might act out or describe what it feels like to be the person running, the chaser, or even the path you're running on. This helps you connect with what’s happening inside you right now and uncover feelings or issues you might not be fully aware of.
