Do you feel caught between two worlds—distant from your family, disconnected from your cultural roots, and unsure how it all fits into who you are today?

Healing Roots is a therapy group for Asian Americans who’ve experienced adverse childhood experiences, identity struggles, and difficulty relating to their family. In this group, we create space to reflect on the past, explore the impact of cultural and familial dynamics, and engage in a respectful process of integrating cultural values in ways that support both your well-being and your sense of belonging.

Together, we’ll explore how to honor your heritage while building a life that feels authentic and whole.

Who Is This Group For?

This group is for Asian American adults in Texas who:

  • Struggle with family relationships or feel emotionally distant from their upbringing.

  • Have experienced adverse childhood experiences (ACEs).

  • Feel caught between cultural expectations and personal identity.

  • Want to explore their cultural roots in a supportive, nonjudgmental space.

  • Are seeking to thoughtfully integrate cultural values into their lives in a way that fosters healing, clarity, and connection.

Whether you’ve felt “too Asian” in some spaces or “not Asian enough” in others, you’re not alone. This group offers a place to be seen, understood, and supported by others on a similar journey.

Schedule

Monday nights 6-7:15 pm. Next group starting June 2, 2025.
This group is designed to offer ongoing support and exploration. At the conclusion of the 12th session, participants can register for the next group to continue the work they have done in the previous group if desire.

Fee & Refund

$60 per 75-minute session
$720 total per participant

  1. To secure your registration, full payment of $720 is required no later than 7 calendar days before the group begins.

  2. A full refund will be issued if you withdraw more than 7 days before the group's start date.

  3. If you withdraw within 7 days of the start date, a 50% refund will be provided.

  4. No refunds will be issued once the group has started.
